Documents to entry Jordan for Indian Citizens
To enter Jordan, Indian travelers need:
- Valid Indian passport (valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry)
- Valid visa (included in the Jordan Pass if eligibility criteria are met)
- Proof of accommodation or travel itinerary
- Return or onward flight ticket
- Compliance with health requirements (see section below)
Jordan Visa Requirements for Indian Citizens
All Indian passport holders must obtain a visa before traveling to Jordan.
There are 3 main options:
- Jordan Pass (most recommended): Covers the visa cost if you stay a minimum of 3 nights. It must be purchased online before arrival.
- Visa on Arrival (VOA): Available at most airports, including Queen Alia International Airport in Amman. However, this may involve queues and additional scrutiny.
- Embassy Visa: Required if you’re not eligible for VOA or plan to stay longer than 30 days.
Important: To benefit from the visa fee waiver, Indian citizens must purchase the Jordan Pass before arrival and stay in Jordan for at least 3 consecutive nights.
Jordan Visa Types for Indian Travelers
For tourism purposes, Indian citizens can apply for:
- Single-entry visa: Valid for 30 days (covered by the Jordan Pass)
- Double-entry visa: Valid for 3 months (must apply at an embassy)
- Multiple-entry visa: Valid for 6 months (embassy application only)
Other visa types (business, student, work) must be applied for via the Embassy of Jordan in India and are not included in the Jordan Pass.
